About This Site

Global Weather Solutions exists to make weather genuinely understandable. Terms like storm surge, heat dome, or freeze-thaw cycle get used constantly in weather coverage, but rarely explained clearly. This site is built to close that gap, explaining not just what these terms mean, but why weather behaves the way it does.

We write about the mechanics of major weather phenomena: how hurricanes form and intensify, how extreme heat and snow affect the land and the people living on it, and how weather, over both short and long timescales, shapes the soil and landscapes beneath us.

We write for students studying earth science or meteorology, people who want to understand the weather events they see in the news, and anyone who is simply curious about how the atmosphere and the ground interact.

Global Weather Solutions is an independent educational publication. It is not affiliated with, and does not represent, any previous business associated with this domain. We do not provide forecasts, weather warnings, or consulting services, and nothing on this site should be used in place of official weather guidance from agencies like the National Weather Service or NOAA.
